Kaitlin Lonergan is a first grade teacher at MPE. Last year, she taught a second grade remote class (and loved every minute,) but she is thrilled to have her classroom family in person this year! This is Mrs. Lonergan’s ninth year of teaching. Before coming to MPE, she taught two years of Kindergarten and five years of first grade in the Blue Ridge school district.
Mrs. Lonergan is married to her best friend, Brian, who teaches at MSJH. They live in Mahomet with their two kids and big fluffy dog, Molly. Max is five and starts Kindergarten this year at MPE and Jolene is three. They are goofy, sweet, and oh so fun! Mrs. Lonergan grew up in Mahomet and loves that her own children will grow up as Bulldogs!
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, reading, music, sports, and sipping coffee. She is SO excited to get to know the fantastic first graders of room 502 and their families!!
