Julie Myers has taught kindergarten in Mahomet-Seymour for over 30 years. She cannot imagine teaching any other grade level and loves connecting with her students and their families each school year.  She believes kindergarten is an important year where students grow not only academically, but socially & emotionally.  Robert Fulghum said, “Everything you needed to know you learned in kindergarten“ and Mrs. Myers believes this is so true!

Mrs. Myers is married and has 3 children. Austin is a 2nd LT in the United States Army at Ft. Benning Georgia, Luke is a junior at Illinois State University and Rachel is a senior at Mahomet-Seymour High School. Mrs. Myers enjoys spending time with her family & her 2 German short haired pointers named Ruby & Chester.  In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling to see family and friends and watching crime shows late at night.

Mrs. Myers is excited to start the 2020-2021 school year.  She cannot wait to meet her new kindergartners in person with their cool masks & reconnect with her former students as well as the awesome staff at MPE!
