PRESCHOOL DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENINGS
Developmental screenings are offered to children - birth to five years of age – who live in the Mahomet–Seymour School District. Children will participate in a special screener to help determine if your child’s development is on target or to identify possible concerns.
Children three to five years of age will work with school personnel who will administer the Dial-4 screener. This screener is designed to identify young children in need of support or further diagnostic assessment. During the screening process, your child will participate in activities related to his/her development in the areas of: vocabulary, visual-motor integration, language and speech, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and cognitive development. In addition, the district nurse will conduct a vision and hearing screening.
The screenings are held at Middletown Prairie Elementary and the process takes between 60-90 minutes. To schedule a screening time, please call 217-586-5833.
