MAYC AFTER SCHOOL

The Mahomet Area Youth Club (MAYC) has an after-school program for Jr. High Students that is FREE & open to any Mahomet-Seymour Jr. High students grades 6th-8th.  Below is some of the information about the program and registration- you can also find more information on the website (www.mahometyouth.org).  

What:
The after-school program is focused on providing a safe and fun space for Jr. High students in the hours immediately following their school day.   The program is made up of free time as well as structured activities that include:

  • Educational supports

  • Health & Life Skills

  • Recreation & Physical Activity

  • Social & Emotional development

  • Character and Citizenship

  • Creative Arts & Expression 

When:

The program operates on all days that school is in session through the school year, including the monthly early dismissal days.  The program runs from 3:25pm-5:30pm with the exception of the monthly early dismissal days when the program will be open from 1:25-5:30pm.

Where:

MAYC is located at 700 W. Main and students will walk from the JR. High to MAYC when weather permits.  If there is inclement weather, MAYC will pick up students in the circle drive pick-up line in a MAYC vehicle.

COVID precautions:

MAYC will continue to enforce masks for everyone while inside at the Club.
